ABOUT LILIANA MÉNDEZ

Liliana Méndez is a Colombian visual artist and sculptor with more than 35 years of experience on the international art scene. Her work has earned over 40 national and international awards and is part of private collections across several continents.

Méndez’s contemporary practice brings together the strength of metal, the richness of color, and the sensitivity of the human experience. Her expressive sculptures are defined by movement, energy, and emotion—exploring themes such as dance, the circus, equestrian forms, and abstraction.

Rooted in a family tradition of artistic mastery, Liliana has further developed her vision through professional training at Academia Guerrero, private studies with renowned Colombian artists Héctor Lombana and Amílkar Ariza, and continued learning through national and international institutions.

Her work has been recognized in the United States, France, Germany, Mexico, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Colombia, and Panama. Today, Liliana Méndez stands among the leading female figures in contemporary art and sculpture.
